About

I am an independent curator/exhibit developer, interpretive planner, and museum consultant based in Philadelphia, serving museums, libraries, and other arts and culture organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. I also provide freelance research and writing services to organizations and individuals nationwide.

Trained as an art historian, I bring a wide range of interdisciplinary knowledge to my work as a public historian. I have extensive professional experience in cultural and educational organizations, including museum, library, publishing, and teaching positions.  


Experience and Skills
  • Curator/exhibit developer, interpretive planner, art historian, and public historian with extensive museum experience and a broad array of interdisciplinary knowledge on topics in art, history, science, and medicine.
  • Have worked on all aspects of museum exhibitions, from initial concept to final installation.
  • Experienced in content development for digital interactives, web exhibitions, and websites.
  • Consultant with expertise in exhibitions, publications, and other projects. 
  • Published author; can write for academic audiences and the general public. Expert in different formats of writing for diverse audiences.
  • Significant experience in book publishing; knowledge of key stages of publishing, from developmental editing to final page proofing.
  • Skilled and experienced editor and copyeditor.
  • Published translator (French to English), particularly for texts on art, history, and the history of science.
  • Creative problem-solver, organizer, and project planner; work well independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in public speaking, teaching, and training.

  • M.A. in Art History and Certificate in Museum Studies, University of Delaware, Newark, Del.
  • B.A. cum laude in the History of Art, Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pa.
